DETAIL DESIGN OF MID-LEVEL DIVERSION TUNNEL (DT4) (CH. 0 TO 600M)
Narrative Description of Project:
- The Middle Level Diversion Tunnel (MLDT=DT4) Is required for protecting the dam during Its
construction starting from water elevation 1100 m.a s l - This same elevation is considered as The Limit of Normal operation of the DT1 and DT2, being
the gross head above these tunnel 120m in this situation - However, they will remain Available for the case that an emergency (for instance DT3 out of
service due to shearing at L onakhsh fault section ) obliges to make us of them for discharging
floods. - The ranges in which the MLDT would be operated during construction are between water level
11 00 and 1215 m.a.s.l. for alternative with FSL=12 90, between water level 1100 and 1210 m.a.s.l.
f or alternative with FSL=1255 and up to maximum dam height for alternative with FSL=1220
